DEEPIKA PADUKONE is one of the best actors we have in the industry right now and she has been a part of various commercially and critically acclaimed films. She is the number 1 actress at this point of time as she has enjoyed mammoth successes and looking at the line up of her upcoming films, it looks like she is going to stay at the #1 position for a long period of time. She has been a part of 19 films in the last 10 years, which collected approximately 1900 crores, averaging 100 Crores/film, a colossal figure to boast about.

THE HITS -
Her 2010 started with HOUSEFULL, which was a decent success at the box-office and gave her a good head start for the decade. Her another release that year - LAFANGEY PARINDEY did average business at the box-office but her performance in the film was appreciated as a blind woman. 2010 and 2011 saw her in various other films but none of them achieved great success at the box-office. The tables turned in 2012 when people saw and appreciated her performance in the critically and commercially successful film, COCKTAIL. She was the show stealer and got various nominations at the award shows for her brilliant performance. 2013 was her best year as all her films worked wonders at the box-office and she won laurels across the country for her performance in all her 4 films. She was ravishing in RACE 2, cute and beautiful in YJHD, hilarious in CHENNAI EXPRESS and mindblowing in RAM LEELA. All the films were super-hit at the box-office and she won multiple awards for her performance in these films, out of which last 2 received superlative reviews from public all across the country.
2014 saw her in the commercial blockbuster HAPPY NEW YEAR, which opened huge across the country due to its huge star cast, catchy soundtrack and high production value. Though the movie opened to mixed reviews, her performance as Mohini was appreciated. 2015 saw her in 3 films - PIKU, TAMASHA and BAJIRAO MASTANI. Piku and Bajirao Mastani turned out to be huge money spinners at the box-office and Tamasha, which did average business at the box-office, has turned out to be a cult classic over the years. Piku, was a beautiful film and is my favorite film of Shoojit Sircar. The film has Deepika's finest performance till date and is an adorable film, which I have watched 'n' number of times because of its performances by Legendary actors - Amitabh Bachchan and Late Sir Irrfan Khan.
Tamasha was a fine film with great performances, evergreen music album and fine direction by Imtiaz Ali. Bajirao Mastani was a commercial blockbuster and the Sanjay Leela Bhansali(SLB) directorial was a monstrous hit at the box-office. Her next major film released in 2018 and it's her biggest success till date - PADMAAVAT. Her third collaboration with SLB and Ranveer Singh, the film turned out to be huge success for its large scale production, superb VFX, memorable performances and a great music album.
Her last film was CHHAPAAK and she earned great reviews for her performance as the acid attack victim, Malti. Though the movie was no show at the box-office due to tough competition from Tanhaji, her performance was one of the best I saw last year.
THE MISSES -
2010 saw her in 5 films out of which 3 films - Kartik Calling Kartik, Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se and Break Ke Baad received mixed reviews and didn't work much at the ticket windows. 2011 saw her in two films - Aarakshan and Desi Boyz. Though Aarakshan received appreciation from multiplexes, the film didn't do well in the B and C centers, which led to a fall in its collections after the initial weekend. Desi Boyz received negative reviews from the majority section of the audience and was granted 'A' certificate, leading to a no show at the box-office. Her performance in all these films were amazing and since then all her films have worked very well due to her excellent story selection and doing universal content, which works wonders all across.
UPCOMING MOVIES -
1. 83 - Starring as Kapil Dev's wife, she is also co-producing the film. The film stars her husband, RANVEER SINGH as Kapil Dev and the inside reports suggests that this movie is going to be a rollercoaster and has a terrific word of mouth.
2. PATHAN - Touted to be the comeback film of SRK, Deepika stars as the leading actress in this action packed film. Whenever SRK and Deepika have collaborated, they have fired all the cylinders at the box-office and this one too shall be no different.
3. SHAKUN BATRA's next - This one is a coming of age love story and stars her alongside Sidhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Pandey. Shakun Batra had directed Kapoor and Sons and that was a great family drama. Expecting this one to be a cracker as well.
4. NAG ASHWIN'S SCI-FI - She is starring with Prabhas in a Science Fiction Drama which will be produced on a colossal budget and stars Amitabh Bachchan as well. What else do you need💥.
